According to Thai News Agency, the "Sure Before Sharing" center of MCOT Thai News Agency investigated the facts with Associate Professor Rungroj Wongmahasiri, a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Design, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The investigation, conducted on March 19, 2026, aimed to present accurate and detailed information about this type of tile.
Professor Wongmahasiri provided insights into the nature of granite tiles, shedding light on the validity of the concerns being circulated. He discussed the material properties of granite, explaining that while it is a durable and aesthetically pleasing choice, certain factors such as installation and maintenance play a crucial role in its performance. The professor emphasized that many of the supposed disadvantages can be mitigated through proper installation techniques and regular maintenance.
