Fine “Benz-Mick” 6,000 baht each for exaggerating food supplement advertisements

The court ordered 'Benz Pornchita-Mick Boromwut' to pay a fine of 6,000 baht each for exaggerating advertisements for food supplements. The analysis results of the product samples from the 'Achariya' lot did not detect sibutramine. Progress in the case of the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) issuing summons for 'Benz-Pornchita' and 'Mick-Boromwut', a husband and wife presenter of a dietary supplement, to meet with investigators to acknowledge the charges of advertising with exaggerated properties. Witthaya Sriprasertphap, Commander of the CPPD, revealed that the CPPD investigators have already pressed charges against Benz and Mick for 'advertising with exaggerated properties' before sending them along with the case file to the prosecutor for consideration of indictment. Today, it was reported that the prosecutor considered indictment before the court ruled to order a fine of 6,000 baht each. It was reported that for the sample of the dietary supplement product that M r. Atchariya Ruangrattanapong, President of the Crime Victim Assistance Association, had previously brought to the Consumer Protection Police Division investigators to send for analysis at the Department of Medical Sciences when he had previously submitted a request for assistance in the investigation because he suspected that it contained ingredients that were harmful to the body, the investigators have recently received the official analysis results of the lot of dietary supplement products that Mr. Atchariya had brought. Initially, no sibutramine was found. As for samples of other batches of dietary supplements, especially those that the Consumer Protection Police Division randomly collected from the manufacturing plant and distribution locations before sending them for analysis at the Department of Medical Sciences, they are currently undergoing analysis.
