Bangkok: The Khlong Thom Center in Bangkok has erupted again with flames and smoke visible on the upper floors, raising fears of potential exposure to chemicals and toxic gases. Rescue workers are actively spraying water to contain the blaze despite continuous heavy rainfall.
According to Thai News Agency, the fire situation at the Khlong Thom Center shopping mall is being closely monitored as of 2:30 PM. Reports indicate significant amounts of dark gray-brown smoke are continuously rising from the building. Flames have been observed both at the center and the rear of the shopping center, suggesting the presence of hotspots or ongoing fires within the premises.
Rescue officials revealed to reporters that the smoke might be linked to the combustion of chemicals, which could contain toxic substances or gases. These pose a significant risk if inhaled, necessitating extreme caution for those entering the vicinity.
