FM 100.5 Awarded Media for Nation Building 2026

Bangkok: FM 100.5 proudly wins the prestigious "Media for Nation Building 2026" award for outstanding media performance. The International Institute for Nation Building (NBII), chaired by Professor Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, held an awards ceremony to honor individuals, organizations, and institutions that have made significant contributions to the development of society, nations, and the global community in 2026. The ceremony took place during the 10th International Conference on Nation Building, Well-being, and Peace in a World of Moral Ambiguity (ICNWP 2026).

According to Thai News Agency, a key highlight in the media honors category was MCOT News FM 100.5, a radio station under the MCOT Public Company Limited umbrella, which won the "Media Award for Nation Building 2026." Ms. Yudakorn Suntornyat, Director of News Station Management at FM 100.5, accepted this prestigious award on behalf of the station. This award recognizes media organizations that play a prominent role in creating high-quality, positive content with a public-spirited approach, promoting sustainable social development in Thailand. MCOT News FM 100.5 was praised as a model media outlet that not only educates the public but also helps to awaken a sense of nation-building awareness, evident to the entire society.

In addition, the event featured the presentation of several interesting international awards. Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, a director and secretary-general of the Chaipattana Foundation, received the "International Senior Citizen Nation-Building Award 2026" for his tireless contributions to the nation over a long period. Other international awards included Ms. Samaira Mehta winning the International Youth Nation-Building Award, the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) winning the International Nation-Building Organization Award (Public Sector), and Prof. Martin Green receiving the World Shifter Award 2026.

While national awards honored youth and educational institutions, Vajiravudh College received the National Building Institution Award 2026, along with awards for National Building Youth, Volunteer Teacher Graduates, and National Building Teachers, as well as the Outstanding Alumni National Building Institution Award. All these awards reflect the collaborative power of all sectors in driving national development based on morality and sustainability, aiming to build a strong and peaceful society.
