Former Director of Land Title Deed Survey Center arrested for issuing title deeds to benefit capitalists

The Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and the Anti-Corruption Division (ACD) arrested the former director of the Land Title Survey Center in Korat for issuing title deeds to benefit capitalists, causing damages of thousands of rai, after the suspect had been on the run the entire time. There are only 2 months left in the statute of limitations. Today (4 July) at 07.00, Mr. Phumiwisan Kasem Suk, Secretary-General of the PACC, Mr. Ekkachai Kasem Sukthawach, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Prasong Chalermphan, Commander of the Anti-Corruption Division, assigned Pol. Lt. Col. Siripong Sritula, Director of the Anti-Corruption Division 2, along with Ms. Manassanan Charoencharoenpong, Director of the Anti-Corruption Division 3, and PACC officers, together with officers from the Anti-Corruption Division led by Pol. Lt. Col. Naren Khamwing, Superintendent of Investigation Division 3, Anti-Corruption Division, to arrest Mr. Arun in accordance with the arrest warrant of the Crimin al Court for Corruption and Misconduct, No. Chor 84/2566, for the offense of being an official acting improperly under Section 157 of the Criminal Code. This suspect is the former director of the Land Title Survey Center in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Involved in the illegal issuance of title deeds to public land by a large group of capitalists and business operators, especially the prime location of a large resort of 2,000 rai in the Khao Yai area, Pak Chong District, which is a tourist attraction worth hundreds of millions of baht, including land in economic zones in many other districts throughout Nakhon Ratchasima Province, causing damages totaling thousands of rai.
