Bangkok: Four former prime ministers attended the funeral rites of Krieng Kalptinant, marking their first meeting together. Anutin Charnvirakul, the current Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over the Buddhist funeral rites for Krieng Kalptinant, a former Deputy Minister of Interior, in his capacity as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party. Upon his arrival at 6:30 PM, Anutin paid his respects to Krieng by lighting incense and candles and participating in the Buddhist chanting.
According to Thai News Agency, the event was notable for the presence of four former prime ministers. Anutin was seen exchanging greetings with Thaksin Shinawatra, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, and Somchai Wongsawat in a cordial manner. Anutin sat beside Thaksin, with Paetongtarn next, engaging in informal and friendly conversation. This meeting was closely observed by political analysts, given its significance. The event also saw attendance from several MPs and members of the Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai parties.
