Sattahip: General Chaiyapruk Duangprapat, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, refrained from commenting on speculation surrounding his potential appointment as the new Secretary-General of the National Security Council (NSC), while emphasizing his readiness to serve in any capacity as directed by his superiors.
According to Thai News Agency, General Chaiyapruk accompanied the Prime Minister to Sattahip District, Chonburi Province, to observe the training of the Task Force Fleet. During the visit, reporters inquired about the circulating rumors regarding his possible new role within the NSC. General Chaiyapruk maintained that it was not appropriate to discuss such matters during his official duties as Chief of Staff. Nonetheless, he reiterated his commitment to fulfilling any assignment with dedication and pride.
When questioned about the potential workload if tasked with overseeing the NSC, General Chaiyapruk confidently stated, "We're ready to fight." He also addressed concerns about intelligence gathering, advising patience as no official decision had been made yet.
