Narathiwat: “Big Pom” has directed immediate operations to assist Narathiwat residents affected by severe flooding, stressing the necessity of ensuring supplies of food and drinking water, with mobile units deployed to reach all impacted areas. General Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, has been briefed on the dire flooding situation affecting the districts of Rueso, Bacho, and Si Sakhon in Narathiwat Province. The heavy rains have led to flash floods that have isolated some roads, leaving residents in urgent need of food, drinking water, and other essential supplies.
According to Thai News Agency, General Prawit has tasked Prime Minister Koseng Samasu with swiftly setting up a team to monitor the situation continuously. The team is also to launch the “Pracharath Power Kitchen” initiative to supply food and water to those in severely affected areas. The focus remains on providing comprehensive care and preventing shortages during this crisis.
Mr. Koseng announced that the party’s team has been active in the area since November 23, 2025. Efforts are underway to establish Palang Pracharath kitchens to prepare meals and distribute relief materials to communities that are challenging to access. Additionally, “quick-moving units” have been organized to monitor water levels and deliver further aid to at-risk areas that might become isolated.
Mr. Koseng emphasized the Palang Pracharath Party’s commitment to standing with the people of Narathiwat, adhering to General Prawit’s directives to ensure prompt and sustained assistance until the flood situation ameliorates.
