Sa Kaeo: “Gun Jom Phalang” takes his uncle and aunt’s family to receive a new car, bringing relief after the devastating “Peach Luxury Car” incident left them without transportation.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Atthawat Tangkaprasert, owner of the page ‘Best Secondhand Cars in Sa Kaeo,’ and Mr. Surapol Tangkaprasert, owner of a large Honda motorcycle shop in the province, delivered a second-hand Isuzu D-MAX pickup truck and a Honda Wave 110i motorcycle to Mr. Sombun and Mrs. Wanna, the elderly couple affected by the crash.
The incident occurred on April 16 when Mr. Smitthipat Linwarat, also known as ‘Peach,’ collided with the couple’s vehicle on Special Highway No. 9, causing it to crash into a barrier. The generous donation consisted of a 2022 silver-bronze Isuzu D-MAX, valued at 600,000 baht, and a 2025 blue-white Honda Wave 110i, priced at 47,000 baht. The pickup truck, which was almost new and had low mileage, also came with a 3-year engine warranty, a 20,000 baht gas card, and lifetime free repairs.
Mr. Kanthas Pongpaiboonwet, or Kan Chom Phalang, assisted the couple in receiving these vehicles. Previously, there were offers of brand-new cars, but the couple opted for the more affordable second-hand options provided by Mr. Big, the used car dealer who was moved to help after learning of the damages to the couple’s motorcycle in the accident.
In addition to the vehicles, various donors and foundations contributed 500,000 baht and other necessities to support the family. The couple chose to accept only 250,000 baht for their medical expenses, opting to donate the remaining funds to societal causes. This includes aiding victims of Mr. Peach’s brother’s assault and supporting those affected by the collapse of the Office of the Auditor General’s building.
The daughter of the victims expressed her gratitude for the widespread support, noting her mother’s improving health and her father’s stable but slowly recovering condition. She emphasized her appreciation for the unexpected kindness received from the community.
