Nonthaburi: Glass House team wins the big trophy for the second time. ‘Tammy’ is delighted that ‘100 Plus Thai Tennis League’ has ended beautifully.
According to Thai News Agency, the mixed team tennis competition, 100 PLUS Thai Tennis League 2025, concluded at the Impact Sports Club in Muang Thong Thani, with teams vying for a total prize pool of 500,000 baht. The event was organized by Tamarin Thanasugarn, affectionately known as “Tammy,” a former Thai national tennis player and world number 19. The tournament was co-organized with Thai Drink Company Limited, promoting their healthy carbonated drink, 100Plus.
On the final day, the competition for the prestigious Category A trophy featured three major teams: Team UNLOSER A, Team Railway A, and the defending champions, Team Glass House A. The format was a round-robin competition, with the top two teams advancing to the championship match. Team Glass House A emerged as the frontrunner, while Team Railway A secured the second spot.
The championship clash between these top-tier teams showcased some of Thailand’s finest tennis talents. Team Glass House A’s youth squad boasted “Bua” Kamonwan Yodpetch, Thailand’s number one youth player, alongside “Eve” Patcharin Cheepchandet, a SEA Games medalist. On the other side, Team Railway A featured ‘Winner’ Thiraphat Khanthiwirawat, the men’s singles under-18 champion at the 63rd Thailand Youth Tennis Championship 2025, and ‘Maengpor’ Phawich Sonlaksap, a notable ITF Professional Championship winner.
Glass House A took an early 2-0 lead, winning the mixed doubles and men’s doubles categories. Railway A retaliated with a mixed youth doubles victory, narrowing the score to 2-1. Nevertheless, Glass House A clinched three consecutive victories, securing their triumph with a 5-1 lead, ensuring their championship status even before the final match.
Despite Railway A’s win in the last men’s doubles match, the overall score saw Team Glass House A defeating Team Railway A 5-2. This victory marked their second consecutive championship win in the A category, accompanied by a prize of 100,000 baht. Team Railway A, as runners-up, received 60,000 baht, while Team UNLOSER A finished third, earning 30,000 baht.
In addition to the main prizes, special awards were presented. Thitiphong Kiewpaisan, Glass House A’s manager, received a Samart shirt as the Great Manager Award. The Best Coach Awards were given to Wirach Braheem and Suwan Chakjit. Outstanding Athlete Awards went to Jirawat Rakkamkaew and Pitchaya Laosirichon. The Cheerleader Award was claimed by Team Railway A, with a cash prize of 4,200 baht.
Tamarin Tanasukarn, the event organizer, expressed satisfaction with the successful conclusion of this year’s competition. Despite challenges such as rain, athletes displayed remarkable resilience and camaraderie across age groups. Tamarin extended gratitude to main sponsor Thai Drink Co., Ltd., and other supporters like the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand, ASICS Thailand, Babolat, Provamed, and Pharmica for their contributions to the tournament’s success.
