Good Deeds Foundation Faces Quiet Days Amid Donation Building Closure

Pathum Thani:The Good Deeds Foundation, known for its charitable efforts, is experiencing a period of quiet as the donation building for coffins remains closed and not accepting contributions. The Foundation, located in Khlong 8, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province, is currently attended by a small number of staff and volunteers who are overseeing the donated items.

According to Thai News Agency, the closure of the donation building has been in effect since news about the foundation became public. Despite the decrease in donations, officials remain optimistic about the foundation's ability to continue its mission, citing its long-standing commitment to helping people.

The Good Deeds Foundation spans nearly 3 rai of land and comprises four buildings constructed at a cost of over 50 million baht. These facilities are intended to serve as disaster relief centers and support public assistance missions. The first building, a center for donations of coffins and essential supplies, is currently closed. The second building, a warehouse, remains shut except during disaster situations when it is utilized for packing supplies. The third building serves as the office from which Boom Panadda manages disaster operations, while the fourth warehouse stores rescue boats and vehicles.

A volunteer at the foundation noted the decreased activity, attributing it partly to an improvement in the flood situation. Despite recent challenges, the volunteer expressed confidence in the foundation's enduring role as a refuge during disasters, emphasizing the dedication of its members to aiding those in need.

Additionally, the construction of a shrine building adjacent to the foundation has been temporarily halted due to flooding, though this is unrelated to recent news reports. Boom Panadda, a key figure associated with the foundation, has reportedly been unreachable since the incident and is believed to be ensuring her child's safety during this time.
