Government Denies Reopening of Thai-Cambodian Border Crossing

Aranyaprathet: The government has confirmed that there will be no reopening of the Klong Luek border crossing, urging the public not to believe circulating false information.

According to Thai News Agency, government spokesperson Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek stated that rumors on social media about the reopening of the Khlong Luek border crossing in Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province, are unfounded. She emphasized that the claims suggesting the border crossing would open to allow Cambodian children to enter Thailand for schooling are false.

Ms. Ratchada reiterated that no Thai-Cambodian border crossings have been reopened at this time. The government is actively countering misinformation and advises the public to rely on official communications for accurate information.
