Bangkok: The government has launched "Nok Krasip" (Whispering Bird), an intelligent assistant integrated into the Thung Ngern (Money Bag) app, aimed at supporting small retailers by analyzing sales, costs, and raw material prices. The app became available starting June 1st.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the government, led by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, is advancing efforts to upgrade small businesses and community shops by integrating AI technology into shop management. The introduction of "Nok Krasip" is part of this initiative, providing intelligent assistance to shops involved in the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" project. This aims to facilitate access to crucial information and improve business management efficiency for these shops.
The deputy spokesperson explained that "Nok Krasip" is an AI chatbot designed to assist merchants with queries related to the Thai Chuay Thai Plus project and the functionalities of the Thung Ngern application. Merchants can either type their questions or select from preset queries to receive immediate information, thereby streamlining the information search process and enhancing the convenience of using the government's digital systems.
Additionally, the government is utilizing AI to help entrepreneurs analyze business data in real-time, aiming to reduce costs, increase revenue, and enhance store management accuracy. The key features of this AI assistant include automated sales analysis, checking average daily prices of raw materials, and calculating preliminary profits and costs. These features are expected to aid store owners in inventory planning, cost tracking, and making informed purchasing decisions.
"Whispering Bird" is compatible with the Thung Ngern application version 5.50.0 and above, and is accessible to all types of merchants upon logging in as store owners. Ms. Lalida emphasized the government's commitment to leveraging digital technology and AI to empower small business owners, who play a vital role in the grassroots economy. The objective is to enable businesses to utilize real-time data for decision-making, cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and to compete effectively in the digital economy.
The deputy spokesperson highlighted the government's vision of using AI as a tool to create opportunities for the public, particularly small business owners, to access essential information effortlessly, aid in business planning, and make full use of government measures.
