Bangkok: The government welfare card program has commenced its appeals process, allowing individuals to request reconsideration of their eligibility from today until July 31st. This initiative is part of the 2026 State Welfare Program and aims to provide citizens with the chance to verify and correct their information to maintain their eligibility status.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced the government's decision to open the review period for state welfare card eligibility from July 17-31 through four accessible channels. Registered individuals who did not initially meet eligibility criteria can appeal via registration units of five banks, including Krung Thai Bank, Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Government Housing Bank (GHB), and Islamic Bank of Thailand. Additionally, appeals can be submitted through the State Welfare Program website, the State Welfare Card website, the Paotang application, and other government applications.
Individuals who have already requested reconsideration and are notified to correct their information or submit additional documents must do so in person at the relevant eligibility verification agency by August 16, 2026. Failure to comply may affect their eligibility status. Ms. Lalida emphasized that this opportunity is designed to ensure accuracy and fairness in the consideration process for those potentially impacted by incomplete information. The government urges applicants to adhere to the project's criteria and closely monitor any notifications to avoid losing their entitlements. "The government prioritizes caring for low-income individuals and ensuring fair access to state welfare. Therefore, we invite those who did not pass the eligibility review to check the results and submit a request for reconsideration within the specified timeframe," stated Ms. Lalida.
