Bangkok: Government Savings Bank (GSB) is moving towards a new learning model with the launch of 'Aomunity,' a virtual digital community for saving. Developed as a learning resource and for developing financial literacy skills, it aims to instill a saving discipline, making financial education fun, easy to understand, and engaging for all ages. According to Thai News Agency, Aomunity comprises four main learning zones where users can assume the role of an avatar, customize their character, and learn money management through digital missions. These zones include Downtown, the starting point and meeting place for users, where they learn about saving and basic financial concepts. Play Hall is a financial skills gaming zone where users can have fun and gain knowledge simultaneously by completing missions and accumulating points in three games: Spot the Thief, Obstacle Course Race, and Pet Hunt. The Museum Hall offers a 360-degree virtual museum showcasing the evolution of Government Savings Bank piggy banks, pre senting piggy bank designs in digital art. The Neighborhood zone allows for practical learning through the "Save Money to Build a House" mission, where users can design, build, and develop a virtual home using points earned from missions. Additionally, Aomunity features Social Interaction, providing a space for users to meet, exchange experiences, and learn together in a digital community. This helps build financial discipline and resilience. Interested individuals can access the Aomunity world today via the Government Savings Bank website, which is accessible via mobile phones, computers, and tablets. Government Savings Bank (GSB) is committed to promoting financial literacy to raise awareness among Thais about the necessity of personal money management skills. This forms the foundation for building strong financial resilience, identifying fraudulent schemes, and encouraging sufficient savings to meet personal goals at all stages. This is achieved through diverse deposit products tailored to various needs, financial literacy training by a team of professional financial coaches, the development of the 'Om Tang' (Savings) application, and most recently, Aomunity. Aomunity is designed to transform learning about finance into an accessible and fun experience, enhancing the ability to manage finances effectively and sustainably. This reflects GSB's core mission as a 'bank for society,' aiming to create a positive long-term impact on Thai society.
