Government Unveils Traffy Fondue for Enhanced Safety in Schools

Bangkok: The government has introduced Traffy Fondue for Education to bolster safety measures in educational institutions. Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongsalooykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the initiative aims to strengthen the protection of teachers, students, and educational personnel. The Ministry of Education is spearheading the effort to establish the Center for the Protection of Rights, Freedoms, and Safety, alongside the development of the Traffy Fondue for Education system. This platform will act as a central hub for incident reporting and management related to rights and safety in schools, ensuring rapid access to assistance and transparent progress tracking.

According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Education is coordinating with its affiliated bodies, including the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC), the Department of Learning Promotion (DLP), and the Office of the Permanent Secretary. The collaboration aims to integrate existing systems like RADBOX, MOE ONE, and EDU Save into a unified system for efficient incident reporting and management within educational institutions.

The Traffy Fondue for Education system is currently under legal review and development, with public consultations underway. The Ministry of Education anticipates launching a pilot program by September 2026. Once legal formalities are completed, the system will allow the public to report incidents and monitor outcomes around the clock.

Additionally, the Ministry of Education has directed all related agencies to uniformly adopt the name "Center for the Protection of Rights, Freedoms, and Safety." This directive is expected to streamline reporting, coordination, and assistance processes, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of safeguarding the rights and safety of educational stakeholders.
