GULF Signs LNG Supply Contract with Eni SpA

Bangkok: Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has signed a liquefied natural gas (LNG) Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Italy’s Eni SpA (ENI) to supply up to 0.8 million tons of LNG per year over a 10-year contract, with deliveries commencing in January 2027.

According to Thai News Agency, GULF announced that it imports liquefied natural gas (LNG) and has previously received an LNG Shipper License from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to operate as a liquefied natural gas supplier and wholesaler, with a capacity not exceeding 7.8 million tons per year, for use as fuel in the group’s electricity generation. The company has been operating a liquefied natural gas import business since 2024.

The signing of this LNG supply agreement between GULF and Eni aligns with the country’s natural gas procurement plan and will help diversify LNG import sources, increase price and volume stability, and strengthen the country’s long-term energy security. This will further support economic stability and overall national growth.
