Bangkok: The gun used in the shooting of Wichet Thaithongnum, widely known as Mayor Arm of Rueso Subdistrict Municipality, has been identified as a weapon involved in 24 incidents across Tak Bai and Rueso Districts. This discovery has raised suspicions about possible insider information being provided to the perpetrators. According to Thai News Agency, an examination of 19 bullet casings found at the scene where Mayor Arm was killed in a conference room of Hand in Hand Co., Ltd., revealed they were M16 casings fired from an AK 102 rifle. This rifle has a history of being used in 23 security-related incidents, with the mayor's shooting being the latest. It is suspected that someone in the factory may have leaked information, enabling the perpetrators to execute the attack without difficulty. Mayor Arm's wife expressed doubts that the murder was politically motivated, given her husband's term was nearing its end. She was unaware of any other issues that could have led to such a violent act, as her husband rar ely discussed his work or any potential conflicts at home.
