London: Erling Haaland, the Norwegian national team striker, received a certificate from Guinness World Records after setting four new world records in football. The 26-year-old Manchester City striker in the English Premier League has achieved remarkable milestones in his football career.
According to Thai News Agency, Haaland holds the world record for being the fastest player to score 100 Premier League goals, achieving this feat in just 111 matches. By the end of the 2025-2026 season, he had scored 112 Premier League goals in 132 matches.
Haaland also set a world record for most goals scored in a single Premier League season within 38 matches. In his debut season, 2022-2023, he scored 36 goals, breaking Mohamed Salah's previous record of 32 goals and surpassing the 34 goals scored by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer during the era of 42 Premier League matches per season.
The third world record Haaland holds is being the all-time leading scorer in the UEFA Nations League, with 19 goals out of a total of 62 goals in 55 matches for the Norwegian national team.
Haaland's fourth world record is for most goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League match against RB Leipzig in March 2023. His five goals in that game equaled the records of Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano, bringing his total world records to seven. His three previous records include the fastest hat-trick in the Bundesliga (19 minutes and 48 seconds), most goals in a single FIFA U-20 World Cup match (9 goals in Norway's victory over Honduras), and a long jump record set at the age of 5 in 2005 with a height of 1.63 meters.
