Nonthaburi: The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EAT) advises individuals traveling to Muang Thong Thani to plan their trips in advance on Saturday, March 7th, as significant traffic congestion is anticipated due to the entrance exams for Triam Udom Suksa School.
According to Thai News Agency, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has issued a notice to expressway users to prepare for potential delays at the Muang Thong toll plaza. The warning comes as a result of the entrance exams for Triam Udom Suksa High School, which will be held at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM and will involve 13,895 applicants. Additionally, several events at the IMPACT Exhibition Center are expected to attract large crowds, further contributing to the anticipated traffic congestion.
To mitigate the impact, the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has arranged for staff to manage traffic flow at the Muang Thong Thani toll plaza, both inbound and outbound, to ensure smooth traffic management. EXAT has also coordinated with the Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) and staff from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani to set up directional and informational signs and station personnel at strategic locations to facilitate traffic and provide alternative routes.
For those heading to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, EXAT suggests using alternative exits such as Chaeng Wattana Road or the Sri Saman (outbound) exit if congestion is detected. Surface routes can then be used to reach the destination, with alternative lanes prepared for entry into the Muang Thong Thani area. Travelers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, allocate extra travel time, and stay updated on traffic conditions to ensure a smooth trip. For further assistance, the EXAT Call Center is available 24/7 at 1543.
