India sends 38.5 tonnes of aid to Gaza

New Delhi, The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that India has shipped 38.5 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.

A spokesperson for the Indian Foreign Ministry said on social media that An Air Force Boeing C-17 (C-17) transport plane departed for El Arish Airport on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. to bring nearly 6.5 tonnes of medicine and 32 tonnes of disaster relief supplies to the Palestinians. These items include medicines needed to save lives. Surgical equipment, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, hygiene items water disinfectant tablets and other essentials. Earlier, India had condemned the terrorist group Hamas. But it reiterated its stance supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Egypt and Israel agreed to allow aid to be flown into Gaza through the Rafah border crossing from the Egyptian side into Gaza. And the first convoy of 20 trucks passed through the checkpoint on Saturday. Hamas stated that Israeli attacks have displaced 1.4 million Palestinians in the area.
