Innovative Egg-Shaped Ice Cream Boosts Trang Cake Shop’s Income

Trang: Delicious egg-shaped ice cream is creating a sensation in Trang Province, generating hundreds of thousands of baht in monthly income. The unique concept was developed by Ms. Nattasinart Chaijak, affectionately known as "Jae In," who is the owner of the renowned Kanittha Cake Shop and a TikTok star.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Chaijak introduced the Egg Pop, a chicken egg-shaped ice cream, in March. This is the first and only product of its kind in Trang Province. The ice cream is crafted using fresh milk, whipped cream, and a white chocolate coating shaped into egg molds. Inside, an orange-flavored core mimics the appearance of egg yolk and boiled egg. The ice cream is available in two varieties: a real egg look-alike with a white chocolate coating and a century egg version with a pinkish-purple strawberry exterior and strawberry-flavored interior.

Beyond the egg-shaped creations, the shop also offers fruit-shaped ice cream sold in single cups, featuring premium frozen fruit flavors such as green apple, peach, durian, banana, and more, priced from 69-160 baht per cup.

Initially, the reception was lukewarm, with the high price point of over 200 baht per cup leading to a temporary halt in production. However, heightened customer demand prompted the resumption of production, with the addition of the egg-shaped ice cream. Currently, Kanittha Cake Shop sells an average of 250 cups daily across southern Thailand, resulting in daily earnings of 25,000-30,000 baht, amounting to nearly 1 million baht monthly.
