Bangkok, IRPC had revenue of over 148,710 million baht in the first half of 2014, up 1 percent from a 9 percent increase in selling prices following higher oil prices, with a profit from oil stocks of 2,138 million baht, resulting in EBITDA of 6,118 million baht, up 187 percent, with a net profit of 812 million baht, ready to move forward with the sale of aviation fuel to support the growing global aviation industry. Mr. Kris Imsang, Chief Executive Officer and President of IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC), revealed the operating results for 2024 that IRPC has successfully expanded the market for high-quality Jet A1 aviation fuel, in accordance with the international JIG (Joint Inspection Group) standard, to Vietnam, which reaffirms the company's ability to produce quality products that are in demand in the world market, creating added value and income for the company. For the advancement of the petrochemical business, the four grades of PP (Polypropylene) plastic pellet products 'POLIMAXX', namely K4510 B K4520UB, K4527B and 1140VC, have received the UL Environmental Claim Validation (ECV) label certification from Underwriter Laboratories or UL, USA, the first in Thailand, showing the commitment to using technology to develop plastic pellet products that are efficient and take into account the impact on the environment. Mr. Kritsana talked about the oil market situation in the third quarter of 2024. It is expected that the overall demand for oil will increase, supported by the demand for gasoline production during the Driving Season and the demand for fuel oil to generate electricity during the summer in the Middle East countries. Meanwhile, the conflict situation in many countries is still a major factor creating uncertainty in the crude oil market. For the petrochemical market in Q3/2024, new production capacity tends to increase more than the demand for petrochemical products, pressuring the price of products in the olefins group to adjust downward, while the demand for the styrenics group, especially A BS, tends to recover and improve towards the end of this quarter as it enters the Manufacturing Season of the petrochemical business.
