“Ishii-Charoensak” Confirms Readiness Before Competing in the Asian Cup Qualifying Round, Match 3

Bangkok: “Masatada Ishii” and “Charoensak Wongkorn” confirmed their readiness before competing in the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers against Chinese Taipei tomorrow evening (9 Oct. 2025) at Rajamangala National Stadium.

According to Thai News Agency, on October 8, 2025, at the press conference room at Rajamangala Stadium, the organizers held a press conference to announce the readiness before the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying round, Group D, third match between the Thai national team and Chinese Taipei, led by “Masatada Ishii”, head coach of the Thai national team, along with “Charoensak Wongkorn”, the team’s offensive lineman.

Head coach Masatada Ishii stated, “We face Chinese Taipei in both matches of this tournament, so our goal is to win both matches and collect six points. In my opinion, we don’t need to replace the withdrawn striker, but we need to find a way to score as many goals as possible in the match. So, I’m choosing players of the same level of ability as the withdrawn players, so that we can win and score as many goals as possible.”

Ishii emphasized the importance of goal difference, saying, “Of course, in my opinion, one goal is equal to three points. But in this game, we must also consider goal difference. We want to score as many goals as possible to secure a place in the next round. I’m thinking about Ton (Teerasak Poeipimai) constantly receiving yellow cards. We need to make adjustments and improve the team’s consistency. This has been something I’ve been thinking about all along.”

Charoensak Wongkorn expressed his readiness, stating, “Everyone is prepared and in good shape. Many have played games. We’re trying to recover as best we can to be ready for tomorrow’s game. I’m ready to play in any position, no matter what position the coach assigns me. I’m ready to give my all in that position because our goal is to play for the team and win for the fans. I’ll do my best in that role.”

Wongkorn added, “We certainly must not be complacent in order to achieve good results and advance to the next round. But ultimately, we must refocus on our team and perform as best we can on the pitch. We will work together to collect three points for Thai fans. Playing for the Thai national team will naturally bring pressure, but we need to focus more on our performance on the pitch. The environment can be a source of motivation, but how do we prepare ourselves mentally to be as ready as possible? Of course, it’s normal for everyone to be criticized when playing for the national team. But we must look ahead and improve ourselves to improve the team and win every match.”
