Chiang rai: The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) in Region 3 is continuing its focus on community relations and information work, with a strong emphasis on integrated border development to enhance sustainable security.
According to Thai News Agency, the ISOC, led by Lieutenant General Thanathip Sawangsang, Director of the Public Relations and Information Office, conducted a field visit to ISOC Region 3 from March 30 to April 1, 2026. The visit aimed to monitor the progress of public relations and information activities and to guide development in alignment with the security plan for fiscal year 2026, focusing on integrated efforts to achieve tangible results.
During the visit, the delegation traveled to Ban Rom Fah Thai in Chiang Rai Province to inspect the operations of the Project Coordination Center for Security Development in the Area (PCSDA). The PCSDA covers key border regions, including Doi Yao, Doi Pha Mon, and Doi Ji. Reports were received on vocational training, income generation, and public communication, highlighting the use of locally-based data for targeted problem-solving planning.
The visit also allowed field officials to reflect on challenges and limitations in their work to improve approaches and enhance efficiency. The delegation then moved to Phu Chi Fa National Park to engage with members of the Doi Pha Mon Highland Agricultural Extension Center. Here, they reviewed the progress of community occupational and product development, a key element in strengthening economic stability at the grassroots level. Ideas were exchanged, suggestions heard, and encouragement given to the community to continue advancing their occupations.
This initiative reflects ISOC's commitment to driving security missions alongside community development, with a people-centered approach aimed at improving quality of life and strengthening communities, thereby laying a foundation for sustainable long-term security.
