Tokyo: The drama surrounding Jack Papho dancing shirtless on the roof of a car in Japan is threatening to escalate after clips of other heroic acts were unearthed. Meanwhile, Ajarn Chalermchai is furious at Jack Papho’s behavior, embarrassing the nation.
According to Thai News Agency, Jack Papho, a popular YouTuber, took off his shirt and danced on the roof of a car in front of a Lawson store in Kawaguchiko, a popular photo spot with Mount Fuji as the backdrop. The clip was widely criticized by Thais, who said it was embarrassing and inappropriate, damaging the image of the country and Thais, as Japan is known for its good manners. The video of him dancing on the roof of a car on Facebook has disappeared, but a TikTok clip with the caption “Even if someone looks down on me, I don’t care.”
The spot where the clip was filmed was filled with both Japanese people and tourists. Jack Papho danced in front of many people. If anyone follows Japanese tourism news, they will remember that this spot was the point of drama where tourists caused chaos, such as crossing the road without looking for cars to cross to take a photo at this spot, standing in the middle of the road without caring about the passing cars, creating so much danger that black nets had to be put up.
But today, it was a Thai person who went dancing with the intention of going. Even though he came out to explain that it was a friend’s rented car and he had received permission from his friend, the public still views it as an inappropriate act in public.
Jack Papho’s wife also posted a message saying that she wanted to protect herself and her child because she had already told them not to, but they wouldn’t listen. She said that she had a child but was never mindful. She smiled because she didn’t know what to do because she was focused on her child and the child would run after her father. She concluded by saying that everyone was right. It was at a point where no one could warn her.
Additionally, the offline world has dug up a clip that Jack Papho had posted since arriving in Japan, going back in time 3 days before the dramatic clip of him “taking off his shirt and dancing on the roof of a car” occurred.
This clip was posted by Jack Papho as the first clip from his trip to Japan. He said, “You can meet me, Japanese Yakuza. It’s a clip of him sitting and drinking a bottle of alcohol in front of a bar counter in Japan.”
In other clips, Jack Papho is seen loudly declaring his presence in Japan and setting up scenes with locals, which has drawn further criticism.
Professor Chalermchai Kositpipat posted a video clip criticizing the Thai people, emphasizing that their actions abroad represent their nation. He expressed disappointment in Jack Papho’s conduct, which he believes embarrasses Thailand on the international stage.
