Jadet Chantra Responds to Campaign Sign Criticism and Debate Invitation

Phitsanulok: Jadet Chantra, a Pheu Thai Party candidate for Member of Parliament in Phitsanulok, has addressed recent criticisms from Mr. Padipat Santiphada, a campaign assistant for the People's Party, concerning his campaign signs and alleged campaigning tactics. Mr. Jadet clarified the color scheme of his campaign signs and responded to allegations of encouraging voters to choose other parties.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Padipat had raised concerns about the orange color scheme and the absence of the Pheu Thai Party logo on the campaign signs for candidate number 4. Mr. Padipat suggested that these elements, along with claims that Mr. Jadet was urging voters to support party number 46 (the People's Party), could create confusion and appeared as if Mr. Jadet was abandoning his original party. In response, Mr. Jadet confirmed that the signs used a red color as per the pre-production design and provided photographic evidence to support this. He expressed willingness to make corrections for clarity if the current signs caused any misunderstanding among the public. He also mentioned plans to produce new signs to ensure no similarity in colors that could lead to confusion.

Regarding the allegations of advising voters to choose number 4 along with other parties, Mr. Jadet refuted these claims, emphasizing the need for evidence rather than baseless accusations. He stated that during his campaigns, he consistently introduced himself as "candidate number 4, Pheu Thai Party, number 9," and had not attacked or referenced any other party, including the People's Party.

Addressing the issue of debate participation, Mr. Jadet explained his absence from a previous debate. He mentioned that "Nong Folk," the candidate from the People's Party, had initially indicated he might not attend, prompting Mr. Jadet to prioritize other commitments. However, when Nong Folk decided to participate, Mr. Jadet was unable to adjust his schedule. He assured the public of his attendance at the upcoming debate on January 31 and encouraged their support.

Mr. Jadet invited individuals with questions or concerns to contact him directly for clarification. He expressed his hope for a constructive election campaign focused on mutual respect and evaluating candidates and their policies.
