Bangkok: “Kanwi” has been abruptly removed from his role as Secretary-General of the Justice Party following allegations of falsely asserting the party’s resolution to support “Anutin” as Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, the dismissal was announced via the Just Justice Party’s official Facebook page, highlighting the need for the party to adapt to the rapidly changing political landscape while addressing ongoing economic challenges faced by citizens.
The party’s statement emphasized the necessity of restructuring to enhance preparation and strength at both leadership and executive levels. This restructuring aims to ensure unified political decision-making, adherence to party regulations, transparency, accountability, and improved service to the public.
The Justice Party announced two significant changes: Mr. Pitiphong Temcharoen has voluntarily stepped down from his position as Leader of the Thammasat Party, and Mr. Kanwi Sipsang has been removed from his role as Secretary-General. The latter’s dismissal results from bypassing party regulations by falsely claiming the party’s resolution to support a prime ministerial candidate without the executive committee’s necessary approval.
The party reiterated its commitment to strict adherence to regulations, particularly during a critical election period. On December 21, 2025, the Thammasat Party plans to convene a meeting to appoint new leaders and an executive team. These new appointees will lead election preparations and advance the party’s ideology. Over the past nine years, the Thammasat Party has maintained its dedication to practicing politics in a constructive and transparent manner, prioritizing the interests of the people.
