Kalasin University, together with many organizations, organized the 2nd Kalasin University Beauty, Giant and Dwarf Buffalo Contest to compete for the Royal Trophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. More than 200 farmers and buffalo farms from all over the country participated in order to promote and develop the buffalo raising profession to be more widespread, as well as a meeting place for buffalo raising groups and those interested in opening up the world of Thai buffaloes to be more widely known. This contest is a gathering of the best Thai buffaloes, the best breeding males and females, whose prices range from millions to tens of millions of baht. There are many types of competitions. Every activity promotes knowledge, understanding, and love for buffaloes, which are valuable animals tha t are part of the Thai agricultural lifestyle.
