Krua Phumjai Thai Vegetarian Restaurant to Open at Bhumjaithai Party Headquarters

Bangkok:The "Bhumjaithai Kitchen," located at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, is set to begin serving vegetarian food on October 9, 2026. This initiative is designed to provide an alternative dining option during the Vegetarian Festival, ensuring all meals adhere to strict vegetarian principles. The preparation involves separate ingredients, equipment, and cooking areas distinct from the regular kitchen to maintain consumer safety.

According to Thai News Agency, the kitchen's operation aligns with the mission to assist flood victims, a policy supported by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. The Vegetarian Festival, which occurs in early October, encourages people to switch to plant-based diets for better health, inner peace, and animal welfare.

Eating vegetarian offers numerous benefits. It helps restore the digestive system and rebalance the body due to its high fiber content from vegetables, legumes, and grains, which improves bowel function, detoxifies, and reduces cholesterol levels. Spiritually, abstaining from meat can promote peace, compassion, and resilience.

During the festival, free vegetarian meals will be available at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, with options for home delivery via GrabFood. 'Bhumjaithai Kitchen' aims to support the community, especially flood victims in Bangkok, under the motto 'Enjoy Delicious Food, Gain Merit, and Share Care with Flood Victims.'
