Language students invite foreigners to visit the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival

Ubon Ratchathani, More than 30 students from Siriket Girls' School in Sisaket Province visited the candle-making community at Wat Phra That Nong Bua in Ubon Ratchathani Province, hoping to use their language knowledge to encourage foreigners to visit the Ubon Candle Festival. The atmosphere before the candle procession in Ubon Ratchathani Province at Wat Phra That Nong Bua, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District, craftsmen are rushing to carve a large candle tree, 20 meters long and 5.20 meters high, which this year will tell 3 parts of the life of the Buddha. The front part will be the story of 5 Buddhas, Phra Nen Wilaat, and the Buddha's blessing of his mother in the Daowadungsa heaven. Currently, more than 60% is done. While the villagers of Wat Nong Bua organized an activity to visit the candle making community for students, students, and interested tourists to join in making candles, learning how to carve candles, and various candle patterns, which is an interesting and famous activity, so more than 30 stud ents from the Chinese-Japanese Special Program at Satri Siriket School, Sisaket Province, brought their entire class to learn and translate the information into Chinese, Japanese, and English to invite foreign tourists to visit the candle procession in Ubon Ratchathani Province during July 20-21, 2024. For the annual Candle Festival 2024, it is scheduled to be held from July 17-23, 2024, for a total of 7 days, under the name of 'Celebrating the 72nd Birthday of the City of Candles, City of Dharma, Beautiful City of 4 Lights' at Thung Si Mueang and the main road around Thung Si Mueang, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District. As for the organization of the candle procession and performances from the community, in the past it was held on a single day, making tourists who live far away unable to see the entire procession.
