Mananchaya Earns Spot in Wimbledon Women’s Singles Main Draw

London: "Mai" Mananchaya Sawangkeaw, the Thai tennis player ranked 164th in the world, has successfully secured a place in the main draw of the 2026 Wimbledon Grand Slam after competing in the final qualifying round of the women's singles in England on June 25, 2026. Mananchaya rallied after losing the first set to defeat Ocean Dodin, ranked 473rd in the world from France, with a score of 2-1 (5-7, 7-5, and 6-1). This achievement marks Mananchaya's second participation in a Grand Slam main draw tournament, following her appearance at the Australian Open earlier this year.

According to Thai News Agency, Mananchaya will be the second Thai female tennis player, after "Nong Ruang Khao" Lalana Thararudee, to qualify for the main draw of Wimbledon this year. Lalana qualified based on her world ranking.
