Marquez Clinches Victory at MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix

Motegi:Twin Ring Motegi: Marc Marquez delivered a dominant performance, overtaking Jorge Martin to win the 2026 MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix.

According to Thai News Agency, the Spanish rider from the Ducati team took the lead on lap 11 and maintained it to cross the finish line first. This victory marked a significant achievement in the 16th round of the 2026 MotoGP season.

The Grand Prix of Japan was held at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. Jorge Martin, the 2024 World Champion from Aprilia Racing, initially led the race until Marquez overtook him. Marquez completed the race in 41 minutes 31.467 seconds, finishing 1.363 seconds ahead of Martin. Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi, also from Aprilia, secured third place.

"Kong" Somkiat Chantra, representing the Honda team, started from 17th place. Despite dropping to 21st at one point, he finished 13th, 31.333 seconds behind the leader, earning three points.

The next MotoGP race will be the Grand Prix of Indonesia, scheduled from October 9-11, 2026, at the Maldalika International Circuit in Indonesia.
