Sa kaeo: Martial prosecutors have assumed control of Ban Nong Chan, marking a line on Sri Phen Road as a peacekeeping zone, and prohibiting the carrying of weapons and the indiscriminate use of loudspeakers. According to Thai News Agency, the Eastern Task Force announced the establishment of specific areas for maintaining peace and order in Sa Kaeo Province, which now has seven districts under martial law. These districts are Ta Phraya, Khok Sung, Aranyaprathet, Khlong Hat, Watthana Nakhon, Wang Sombun, and Wang Nam Yen. The unrest in Ban Nong Chan, Non Mak Mun Subdistrict, Khok Sung District, was reportedly caused by Cambodian citizens, prompting the involvement of military, police, and civilians to defend the area. This action aims to preserve national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of Thai citizens. As a result, peacekeeping zones and measures have been implemented. Under the powers granted by Section 11 of the Martial Law Act B.E. 2457, specific peacekeeping areas and measures have been designated. The area of Ban Nong Chan, No Mak Mun Subdistrict, Khok Sung District, is declared a peacekeeping area, with Sri Phen Road identified as a peacekeeping line. The measures for entering the peacekeeping area include prohibiting the carrying of weapons or imitation weapons, blocking routes affecting officials and civilians, photographing military operation bases, engaging in fights, consuming intoxicants, and bringing in loudspeakers without permission. These measures are effective immediately as announced by Major General Benjapol Dechatiwong Na Ayutthaya, Commander of the Eastern Task Force, on August 28, 2025.
