According to Thai News Agency, the upper part of Thailand will experience higher temperatures and generally hot weather in the central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the northern region. Thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in some areas, with lightning likely in northern, central regions, including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the eastern region. Residents are advised to exercise caution during thunderstorms and strong winds by avoiding open areas, large trees, unstable buildings, and billboards. They should also be cautious while organizing outdoor activities during the Songkran festival. Farmers are encouraged to take preventive measures to protect agricultural products and livestock and maintain health amid changing weather conditions. This weather change is attributed to the weakening high-pressure area or moderate cold air mass from China covering the northeastern region of Thailand and the South China Sea, along with the influence of southeastern and southeastern winds over the
upper part of Thailand.
In the South, increased rain is anticipated due to stronger southeasterly winds blowing over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand. Waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea will be approximately 1 meter high, rising to over 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms. Sailors are advised to avoid navigating in areas with thunderstorms.
The weather conditions during this period are also impacting dust accumulation. Dust and smog levels in the upper part of Thailand are reported to be at a good to moderate level, likely to remain stable due to increased rainfall in the area.
