Bangkok: The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with the Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, Bangkok Thonburi University (BTU), and the Student Loan Fund (SLF), has launched the 'MHESI JOB CONNECT @ BTU 2026' project. This initiative, conceptualized as 'Study While Working, Step Towards a Career,' is designed to enhance student employment opportunities during their academic years and prepare them for the workforce post-graduation.
According to Thai News Agency, the project was inaugurated by Mr. Phanphomsak Arunee, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MHESI, who emphasized its aim to provide students with job opportunities and income during their studies or semester breaks. It is particularly geared towards final-year students, offering them cooperative education internships and preparing them for future employment. The project also seeks to support students financially, ensuring they can continue their studies, and connects them with various companies for potential employment.
The initiative is not limited to students; it also extends opportunities to graduates and unemployed individuals to engage directly with potential employers. This effort supports employment and fosters collaboration between government bodies, educational institutions, and the business sector to enhance the country's human resources. The project aligns workforce skills with labor market demands, contributing to stable employment and sustainable national development.
The event at BANGKOKTHONBURI HALL, Bangkok Thonburi University, included activities such as direct job recruitment, part-time and summer job opportunities, internship programs, and full-time job recruitment for graduating students. Numerous companies expressed interest in participating in this program, indicating a strong industry support for the initiative.
