Mind Sakol Triumphs Again at 2026 World Women’s Under-21 Snooker Championship

Dongguan: Mind Sakol has successfully defended her title at the 2026 World Women's Under-21 Snooker Championship, securing her victory for the second consecutive year.

According to Thai News Agency, the championship, held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China, witnessed an intense final match between 18-year-old defending champion Panchaya Channoi, known as "Mind Sakol," and 14-year-old local contender Wang Ruotong. The match was a best-of-five frames showdown, with Wang Ruotong initially taking a 2-0 lead.

Despite the challenging start, Mind Sakol, who had already played in her fourth match of the day across two divisions, showcased her resilience and skill. She managed to level the score at 2-2 before taking the decisive frame, winning the match 3-2 with scores of 34(33)-60(43), 0-65(41), 58-8, 96(74)-6, and 77-9.

This victory not only reaffirms Mind Sakol's dominance in the Under-21 category but also positions her to potentially make history by winning both world championships simultaneously. She is set to compete against Reanne Evans, a 12-time world champion from England, in the open category final scheduled for May 19th at 11:00 AM.
