Bangkok: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Maris Sengiampong, has officially inaugurated the Pathumwan Nationality and Legalization Office at CentralWorld shopping mall. This initiative aligns with the 'Diplomacy for the People' policy, emphasizing Thailand's readiness to welcome tourists globally. According to Thai News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by key figures including Mr. Worawut Pongprapapan, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Department, and Ms. Ruchiresh Neerapatma, Assistant Managing Director of Central Pattana Public Company Limited, along with members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from both government and private sectors, and media personnel. Mr. Maris highlighted that this new office aims to enhance access to legalization services, catering to the increasing demand arising from the intertwined public and business sectors due to heightened trade and investment activities. This initiative also supports the government's people-centric approach, focusing on proactiv e service delivery. It signifies Thailand's commitment to assist both residents and tourists with challenges such as passport issues, thereby strengthening international cooperation. The Minister also indicated potential future expansions of such offices to further support diplomatic activities and public services nationwide. He emphasized the strategic location of the Pathumwan office in the heart of Bangkok, designed to offer convenience to the public and businesses. Operating from Monday to Friday, the office is situated on the 6th floor, Zone D, of CentralWorld shopping mall and provides online appointment booking for legalization services through its website.
