Bangkok: The Minister of Education has mandated the 26 electronic teacher professional examination centers to maintain transparency and fairness standards. The electronic teacher certification exam has successfully concluded, with Minister Prasert urging the centers to select quality teachers for Thai classrooms.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Prasert Chantarawong, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Teachers' Council, personally oversaw the execution of the first Teacher Professional Competency Test and Assessment in Knowledge and Professional Experience for 2026 at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Bangkok. The examination process was noted for its smooth operation, supported by stable and capable network and technology systems.
The Secretariat of the Teachers Council of Thailand and Kasetsart University received commendations for their detailed attention to all examinee groups. Special arrangements, including examination rooms for pregnant women and individuals with physical, visual, and hearing impairments, as well as a fully staffed infirmary, were made to uphold international standards emphasizing equality in examination administration.
The Minister directed the subcommittee and administrators of the 26 examination centers across 23 provinces in five regions, accommodating a total of 48,882 applicants, to manage the process transparently and fairly. The selection of new teachers is intended to be rigorous and verifiable, ensuring public confidence in selecting personnel with necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to youth development and the national education system's sustainable progress.
To maintain integrity, examinees, educational personnel, or the public can report evidence of corruption or lack of transparency directly to the Ministry of Education.
