Ministers Gather at Government House for ID Photos Before Cabinet Oath-Taking Ceremony

Bangkok: Government House was bustling with activity as ministers arrived one after another to take ID photos. "Pattana Prompat" was the first to arrive before the Prime Minister led the Cabinet in taking the oath of office and holding a special Cabinet meeting in the evening.

According to Thai News Agency, reporters observed the atmosphere at Government House from 12:00 noon, before the new Cabinet was sworn in. Ministers started arriving at Santi Maitri Building to undergo ATK tests and have their photos taken in their white uniforms for ID cards.

At 12:12 PM, Mr. Phatthana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, was the first to arrive at Santi Maitri Building. Following him were Ms. Sasithorn Kittithornkul, Deputy Minister of Interior; Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce; and Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen, Deputy Minister of Defense, among others.

The arrival of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was noted at 2:10 p.m. The Prime Minister subsequently led the entire Cabinet from Government House in a van to the Amporn Sathan Throne Hall, Dusit Palace, for the oath of office ceremony scheduled at 4:00 PM, with the assumption of office set for 6:00 PM.

Following the oath-taking ceremony, a special Cabinet meeting was scheduled at Building 1. The key agenda items included the draft government policy statement to be submitted to Parliament, the division of work among the six Deputy Prime Ministers, and the proposal to appoint Ms. Traisulee Traisaranakul as Secretary-General to the Prime Minister. The results of the meeting were to be announced at the Phakdi Bodin Building.
