Bangkok: The Ministry of Culture's Department of Religious Affairs recently hosted an awards ceremony for the "My Moral Community" video clip contest, focusing on the importance of creating moral media and fostering a society driven by goodness among children and youth. Mr. Prasop Riangngern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, and Mr. Chaiyapol Suk-iam, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, led the ceremony to honor the winners.
According to Thai News Agency, the competition is part of the "Moral NextGen Model" project initiated by the Department of Religious Affairs. It aims to raise awareness among children and youth about community values and motivate them to contribute to a moral society through creative media. The project is built on five moral principles: sufficiency, discipline, integrity, volunteerism, and gratitude. It also incorporates religious principles, the philosophy of the sufficiency economy, and positive Thai cultural traditions. The contest provided a platform for young participants nationwide to produce short videos, encouraging them to think critically and creatively about social values and good deeds.
The competition winners were announced across three categories. In the junior high school category, "Grandpa's Treasure at Lam Sai Village: A Self-Sufficient Community in the Concrete Jungle" by PK Station Film 1 team from Phra Khanong Wittayalai School in Bangkok took first prize. In the senior high school category, "Outside the Box" by Comarts Prakan team from Samut Prakan School in Samut Prakan Province was awarded first place. In the university student category, the top honor went to "Hope" by R.P.P. Siam team from the Faculty of Management Science at Suan Dusit University, Bangkok.
