Bangkok: The Brahmin Astrology Division, Royal Ceremonies Division, Royal Household Bureau, has revealed that Songkran 2025 will be celebrated on April 14th as Maha Songkran Day, with Nang Songkran named Tungsatewi.
According to Thai News Agency, the Brahmin astrologers have detailed that Tungsadevi will don a royal crown, adorned with pomegranate flowers, and Padmaraka glass ornaments. She is depicted consuming figs, with her right hand holding a wheel and her left hand a conch. Her eyes remain closed as she resides on the back of a Garuda, serving as her vehicle.
April 16 will mark the beginning of the new Chula Sakarat era at 08:27:36 seconds, coinciding with a Wednesday. It is predicted that the Lord of Rain will bring about 600 showers. Five nagas are expected to provide water, with grain yielding 6 parts as profit. Rice fields are anticipated to produce 9 parts while losing 1 part. Grain, food, fish, and meat will be abundant, ensuring happiness and prosperity for the people.
