GH Bank helps customers affected by floods in the North. Customers have filed urgent claims for more than 400 cases, totaling 15 million baht. Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, Managing Director of the Government Housing Bank (GHB), revealed that due to the heavy rain, flash floods, and forest runoff in the northern region, GHB has passed the 2024 Natural Disaster Relief Measures, a total of 7 measures, in accordance with the government and Ministry of Finance policies, to alleviate the suffering of customers, covering both installment and interest reduction, additional/new loans, low interest rates, debt consolidation, debt relief, and providing urgent compensation to those affected. GHB has contacted customers through all channels of the bank to provide assistance to affected customers. More than 400 customers have reported damages and sent photos of their homes to apply for urgent claims, with total damages of more than 15 million baht. Customers are still contacting us and it is expected that more customers will apply for assistance. GHB confirms that it is ready to coordinate with its insurance partners, including Tip Insurance Public Company Limited and Navakit Insurance Public Company Limited, to provide special assistance to customers who have fire insurance covering natural disasters to receive urgent claims (details and conditions are according to the insurance policy). 'From the government and the Ministry of Finance's policy for state financial institutions to urgently provide assistance to flood victims, GH Bank has implemented measures to help customers in flood-affected areas and contacted customers to provide timely assistance. As a result, the quality of debtors in 13 flood-affected provinces as of the end of August 2024 has improved compared to the previous month, reflected in customers' installment payments despite flooding. However, GH Bank is ready to provide assistance to the bank's customers who have been damaged by floods in other areas. Therefore, customers can be confident that GH Bank is ready to stand by them and take care of them so that they can continue to maintain their homes,' said Mr. Kamolpop. For customers who wish to request services under the 7 measures to assist victims of natural disasters in 2024, you can contact any GH Bank branch from now until December 30, 2024.
