Mother-in-Law Fatally Strikes Son-in-Law with Machete Over Theft and Abuse

Loeng nok tha: A mother-in-law, angered by the continued abuse and theft perpetrated by her son-in-law, took drastic action by fatally attacking him with a machete. The incident unfolded in the Khok Sung Village, Samakkee Subdistrict, Loeng Nok Tha District, leaving the community in shock.

According to Thai News Agency, the deceased, identified as 28-year-old Sittisak, was discovered by police from Loeng Nok Tha Police Station near the entrance of the village. He was found lying beside the road, wearing only shorts, with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck. The assailant, 48-year-old Supakorn, his mother-in-law, confessed to the crime and awaited police at her home, which was close to the crime scene.

Ms. Supakorn explained her actions, revealing that her son-in-law's behavior had caused her prolonged resentment. She accused him of stealing and selling her motorcycle, pawning her car, and frequently becoming violent when drunk, particularly targeting his wife, her daughter. Her frustration culminated the night before the incident during a heated argument. The following morning, upon finding him asleep, her anger peaked, and she attacked him.

The police have detained Ms. Supakorn at the Loeng Nok Tha Police Station, along with the machete used in the attack. She faces charges of intentional homicide as the investigation continues.
