Motorcycle Lands on Traffic Light Pole After Collision with BMW in Canada

North delta: A motorcycle is stuck on a traffic light pole after colliding with a BMW 3-Series. This image is not from the latest Mission: Impossible movie or an AI-generated image. It's a real photograph from a road accident in Canada, where a BMW 3-Series collided with a motorcycle, sending the bike flying six meters into the air before it became suspended on a traffic light pole above an intersection.

According to Thai News Agency, the BMW driver was uninjured, while the motorcyclist sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred on Scott Road in North Delta, British Columbia, approximately 32 kilometers southeast of downtown Vancouver. Police stated that speed was the cause of the accident, but did not specify whether it was the car or the motorcycle that was speeding.

The car involved was a BMW E90 3-Series, while the motorcycle was a special edition 2027 Suzuki GSX-R1000, created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R family. It features a DOHC 4-cylinder engine and weighs approximately 200 kilograms. Assuming the driver weighs another 80 kilograms, this collision would have to be severe enough to send the motorcycle and its driver, with a combined weight of over 280 kilograms, flying and landing on a traffic light pole.

On their Instagram account, Delta Firefighters IAFF Local 1763 wished everyone affected by the incident a speedy recovery and reminded drivers to slow down, be cautious, and always obey traffic laws.

Besides being an unbelievable incident, this accident serves as a reminder that road accidents can happen at any time, simply because high-performance vehicles are driven at high speeds. Even modern engine efficiency represents an engineering advancement, yet it can still cause unforeseen accidents. Fortunately, no one died in this incident.
