Bangkok: The atmosphere in front of the brewery at Lat Phrao was somber as people gathered to lay flowers, garlands, food, drinks, and red syrup at the scene of a recent fire to mourn the victims and express their condolences.
According to Thai News Agency, one patron shared her experiences of visiting the bar twice, the last time in April. She mentioned sitting near the stage or inside during her visits and admitted not noticing the back door or the fire escape sign, which was reportedly not visible unless one was a staff member or intentionally looking for it. She only used the front door and expressed fear about going out since her office often goes out every Friday. Following discussions with colleagues, they decided to choose bars with open, comfortable seating and to be more aware of fire escape routes in the future. They also agreed to avoid excessive drinking to stay alert in case of emergencies.
Another individual passing by the area for business shared that although they usually do not take this route, they felt compelled to stop and leave flowers to express their condolences. Despite having no direct connection to the victims, they described the fire as a great loss and a tragic event, feeling that offering condolences was the least they could do to support the families affected.
