MRTA organized the annual royal Kathin robe offering ceremony for 2024 at Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek, including donations from personnel and Buddhists to support Buddhism, support various temple activities, and take care of schools in the Bueng Phra Ram 9 community. Mr. Wittaya Phanmongkol, Deputy Governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (Operation) Acting Governor of MRTA, presided over the annual Kathin robe offering ceremony for the year 2024 on the occasion of His Majesty the King graciously granting the Kathin robe as requested by MRTA to be offered at Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek, Bang Kapi Subdistrict, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. The event was attended by senior executives and MRTA staff, including Mr. Phatiyuth Jaisawang, Acting President of MCOT Public Company Limited, Ms. Suntareeya Wongsirikul, Deputy Chief Financial Officer of MCOT, and Buddhists. The ceremony today consisted of offering the Kathin robe, Kathin robes, eight requisites, and Thai offerings to the monks, and d onations from devotees who joined the royal merit-making process to support Buddhism, support various activities of the temple, and give to Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek School, Chan Hun Bamphen School and Bueng Phra Ram 9 Early Childhood Center, 50,000 baht each, totaling 2,607,301.17 baht in the annual royal Kathin robe offering ceremony for 2024Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek is considered the royal temple of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. His Majesty ordered its construction as a small and simple temple, focusing on maximum utility, to be a model of moderation and sufficiency, a center of the minds of the nearby communities, and to be a place for Buddhist activities, as well as various activities to spread morality and ethics for community development.
