Bangkok: Muang Thai Life Assurance won the 'Best Brand Performance on Social Media' award in the Insurance and Assurance category for the sixth consecutive year at the Thailand Social Awards.
According to Thai News Agency, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited received the prestigious accolade during the 14th Thailand Social Awards, organized by Wisesight (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leader in market analysis software. The awards ceremony, held at TrueICON Hall, ICONSIAM, is recognized as Thailand's largest social media awards event. The awards aim to enhance social media standards, which are considered a vital component of the national economy, while also encouraging responsible and creative use of social media platforms. Mr. Sara Lamsam, CEO of Muang Thai Life Assurance, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The award recognizes brands that excel in social media performance, adhering to the standards set by the Thailand Social Awards. These standards utilize Social Metrics to assess the effectiveness of social media communications, gathering data from major platforms throughout the year, from January 1st to December 31st. This data is assessed using both quantitative and qualitative measurements to generate a comprehensive performance indicator known as the Social Metric Score. The factors influencing this score are weighted in consultation with experts and adjusted annually to align with the changing social media usage patterns of Thai consumers.
Social Metric for Brand serves as a benchmark for evaluating brand communication performance on social media. It compiles statistical data from over 2,600 brands across key platforms, using more than 70 key factors, both quantitative and qualitative, to derive a Social Metric Score. This score incorporates two main components of social media: the brand's official accounts (Owned Media) and other channels where the brand is mentioned, including media, influencers, or individuals (Earned Media). Earned Media is analyzed using the Zocial Eye tool, which employs over 15,000 keywords related to the brand, ensuring the most comprehensive data collection possible.
