NACC discusses with the Department of National Parks pushing measures to prevent corruption

The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) discusses with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to push forward the implementation of measures to prevent corruption in the management of national parks.

Today (March 13, 2023), the NACC, led by Mr. Uthit Buasri, Deputy Secretary-General of the NACC, Mr. Thawichart Nilkan, Assistant Secretary-General. along with the director and officials from the Office of the NACC met to discuss the issue "Implementation of measures to prevent corruption in the management of national parks" together with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, led by Mr. Atthapol Charoenchansa, Director-General of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. Acting Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation along with the management team and officials from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation

The objective of the meeting was to have relevant government agencies take action to prevent corruption in the management of national parks. The Cabinet has resolved to approve relevant government agencies to undertake measures to prevent corruption. proposed by the NACC, focusing on “Collecting revenue for the maintenance of national parks Consideration and approval of the expenditure of revenues for the maintenance of national parks. and management such as personnel management promoting participation, etc.”, as well as NPS ITA assessment and elevation issues. and driving the anti-corruption education curriculum 2022 on the protection of forest resources.
