Nakhon Pathom Dairy Cooperative Limited Boosts Market Value Through Product Innovation

Nakhon pathom: Nakhon Pathom Dairy Cooperative Limited is accelerating efforts to add value to its milk products by enhancing development and branding strategies. The cooperative's flagship product, pasteurized milk mixed with coconut jelly, marketed under the brand name "NATA Milk," has gained significant consumer popularity.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sangwan Timhom, manager of Nakhon Pathom Dairy Cooperative Limited, explained that the cooperative initially marketed its products under its corporate name, while "NATA Milk" was specifically used for its pasteurized milk with coconut jelly. This brand, combining milk and coconut jelly, is memorable and has contributed to consumer recognition. Currently, "NATA Milk" is available in three flavors: sweet, strawberry, and coffee. The cooperative is also developing a new brand, "Dairy Dose," to represent its dairy products, made entirely from 100% pure cow's milk sourced from member farmers.

The cooperative comprises 187 members, who supply an average of 24 tons of raw milk daily from Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, and Kanchanaburi provinces. With nearly all members achieving GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certification, about 12 tons of the daily milk is used for school milk production. Additionally, around 7 tons are sold under MOU agreements to private companies, including Dutch Mill Co., Ltd. and Thai Milk Industry Co., Ltd. The remaining milk is used to create various products, including bottled milk, drinking yogurt, flavored pasteurized milks, and ice cream.

Nakhon Pathom Dairy Cooperative Limited has received support from the Department of Cooperative Promotion, enhancing its production and marketing capabilities. This includes equipment such as a milk bagging machine, pasteurizing milk machine, and a cream separator, valued at 500,000 baht. The cooperative is also seeking support for an additional refrigerated truck to improve logistics.

Mr. Jetsada Khwankaew, the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Cooperative Officer, highlighted the cooperative's strengths, emphasizing the quality assurance through GAP certification and cost reduction efforts by the member farmers. The cooperative's focus on internal capital utilization ensures stability and effective business management.
